History of Acacia St Albans

Tracing back to 1982, a vision took root on a modest Richmond street: the Acacia Children Centre, a place where the preservation of family values and culture enhances society. With 43 children at its commencement, the centre flourished, providing a nurturing and warm program that mirrored the familial environments of those it served. This dedication to cultural richness and educational excellence continues to be a guiding star for Acacia, as seen in this commemorative plaque that celebrates the Indo-Chinese Children's Centre, a vital part of our history.

Nurturing Connections and Culture

Acacia's philosophy materialises in the joyful hues of our playground. Here, children engage in play, the cornerstone of our educational program, which respects each child's individuality, harnessing their innate potential and curiosities. This outdoor space, reflective of our commitment to providing developmentally enriching environments, invites children to explore and interact with their world, building foundational social, emotional, and physical skills through STEAM-based play.

Embracing Holistic and Inclusive Learning

As we welcome families into our centre, the vibrant entrance adorned with children's artwork and accolades exemplifies our approach: to nurture, to listen, and to include. Our partnership with families and the community underpins our philosophy, fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child belongs and where learning is an active, shared journey. From our deep respect for the traditional custodians of this land to our embrace of diverse cultures, Acacia stands as a testament to an enduring commitment to community, education, and holistic growth.
