History of Acacia St Albans

In 2015, after years of careful planning, Acacia's seed bloomed into a brand-new state-of-the-art Children Centre in St Albans. This modern facility accommodates up to 68 children, embracing families from diverse backgrounds with an enriching educational program. It stands as a beacon for community engagement, offering vast space for communal activities and an adult training centre, reinforcing our vision for harmonious communities enriched by diversity.

Nurturing Connections and Culture

Reflecting our St Albans philosophy, Acacia seeks to foster welcoming and nurturing environments for all children, regardless of linguistic and cultural background. At the heart of our community, we acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, as we respect and care for the land that supports our daily activities. Our curriculum, respectful of the diverse fabric of our society, integrates a creative approach to develop skills and interests, all within the framework of the Early Years Learning Framework.

Embracing Holistic and Inclusive Learning

Our centre is a testament to holistic education, where every child's voice is valued, and shared learning experiences shape our approach. We encourage a play-based curriculum, enriched by community values and a deep commitment to the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework, all underscored by Acacia’s core values of Compassion, Honour, Integrity, Learning, and Diversity. This approach fosters a community of collaborative learners, where educators and children alike are supported in a continuous journey of quality improvement and personal growth.
