In keeping with our vision to expand our services, Acacia's seed has flourished into fruition with the opening of a brand-new, state-of-the-art Children's Centre in St Albans in 2015. Our new centre welcomes families from diverse backgrounds, offering enriching educational programs for children. With capacity for up to 68 children, the centre also provides ample space for community programs and an adult training centre, embodying our commitment to nurturing and supporting our vibrant community.

Our government-approved Kindergarten program caters to three- and four-year-olds, following the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF). Through a dynamic play-based approach, we develop crucial skills in literacy, numeracy, peer interactions, and emotional intelligence, ensuring school readiness. Guided by our bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teachers, each child receives personalised support tailored to their strengths and interests, igniting a lifelong passion for learning.

Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is inspired by a multi-theoretical approach and adheres to the VEYLDF guidelines. We exceed the standards set by the National Quality Standards (NQS) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Each room offers programs tailored to children's interests, strengths, and developmental stages. We also offer Japanese language instruction three times a week through the ELLA program, fostering cultural appreciation and global awareness.

Nutrition at Acacia
Nutrition is central to our commitment to children's health and well-being. Our qualified Centre Cooks prepare daily meals following a seasonal menu approved by the Healthy Eating Advisory Board. We cater to various allergies and intolerances, ensuring every child's dietary needs are met. We promote a positive and inclusive mealtime environment, teaching children about healthy eating habits. Meals provided include morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late fruit snack.
